You are invited to be part of EMQ’s (Emergency Management Queensland) Get Ready Disaster Preparedness Seminar being held on Thursday October 17, from 5.00pm to 6.30pm at the Bundaberg Civic Centre in Bourbong Street.
These seminars are designed to bring together councils, emergency services, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, media and members of the public to discuss local risks and preparations for the summer.
Disasters of recent years have greatly impacted on communities but the fact is that disasters are unpredictable and will continue to occur across Queensland and can affect areas not usually impacted.
The Get Ready Disaster Preparedness Seminars are important to organisations and yourself as a householder (and your family), your clients and your local community. They provide the opportunity to gather information regarding future forecasts, learnings from past events, more about the Queensland Government’s Get Ready Campaign and what you can do to get involved. It is also a chance to tell EMQ what support is needed to assist your community.
